I think this was the anyone-with-a-dark-soul classic of the 2000s...
Jake Gylenhaal is this high school kid that hallucinates this space bunny named Frank. I think there's like a wormhole that comes out of his stomach and he does a self-sacrifice thing to prevent a lot of bad things from happening to his family so it's like sad but okay.
More importantly, this movie introduces the song "Mad World," to the universe, which is an okay tune unless you've heard it a million times as a soundtrack for anything "dark" or emo-esque.
