Top Gun

Tom Cruise plays a super risky guy named Maverick in the navy. He and his pal Goose fly a plane together and fight commies. During one commie altercation, some other plane guy named Wolf almost dies and gets really scared about being in the Navy. Since there's a spot in the Top Gun Academy now Goose and him get to go.

The Academy is basically all about playing Great Balls of Fire on the piano and competing with Val Kilmer aka the Ice Man via flying stuff and sexy volleyball in jeans. 

Tom Cruise harasses a lady named Charlie by singing at her and eventually has a weird sex scene with her.

Things get sad when Tom Cruise does risky stiff that kills Goose. Meg Ryan is there too and is way too forgiving. I think he almost quits but then more perilous commie stuff happens and he saves the day with Ice Man. Then they almost kiss.
