Ex Machina

It's a movie full of good ideas! It starts with a big old nerd goes to Oscar Isaac's very fancy smart house. Oscar plays an eccentric bajillionaire type like Tony Stark . I think he's bald but makes up for it by working out and stuff. 

Right. The reason B.O.N gets invited to the house is to check out Oscar's new science experiment, a sexy Android lady- except she starts out with just a pretty face and a bunch of exposed wires. The B.O.N helps Oscar out with developing her, but the sexy android starts talking to him and is starting to feel creepily sentient as time goes on. She says very heart wrenching things like she just wants to be a person in the middle of a busy street (kind of like all those mediocre requests to do "people" things that Ariel the mermaid had). Because he is a lonely, sad man, B.O.N starts to believe Oscar is in the wrong for keeping her locked up and wants to help set her free so they can have creepy robot/person relationship together. 

I think he eventually succeeds in maybe....killing Oscar Issac? Regardless, he and the android lady can leave.  But, saboteur! The android lady as just using him and he ends up locked in her cell. Because she's a heartless android, she leaves him there without food or water to DIE while she goes out into the world to do dumb people things. I got a lot of flack from my boyfriend-now-husband back then for being on the sexy android lady's side.
